History
The addition of oatmeal adds a smooth, rich body to the Oatmeal Stout. Usually dark brown to black in color, roasted malt character presents as dark chocolate notes and should be smooth and not bitter. Roasted coffee aromas are present. Usually a lower ABV than other stout/strong porter styles.
ABV: 5.4% / IBU: 16
TASTING NOTES:
Appearance: Dark with red hues, tan head with good retention.
Aroma: Chocolate, roast, light fruit character.
Flavor: Well balanced between roast, chocolate, and fruit characteristics. Extremely drinkable for a beer of this style.
Mouthfeel: Medium-full body, soft carbonation, round-body.
