スロバキアでホップの個性を活かしたフレッシュなビールを醸造する「Firstep (ファーステップ)」とのコラボレーションによる、チェコ産のフレッシュホップを一部使用したウェストコーストピルスナー。ピルスナーモルトのキレの良いベースにチェコ産ザーツホップをふんだんに使用し、ホップガンに投入した「ロリエン(Lorien)」由来の野花、熟したメロン、爽やかで弾けるようなシトラスの風味に、ベルガモットのウッディなニュアンスを重ねた。

Searching For Greater Knowledge.
First up, a new collaboration with our friends from Bratislava, Firstep. After earning their trade brewing in Prague, Michal and Rafa teamed up with designer Pete to create their own brand. We are super excited to be one of their early collaborators as they embark on spreading their fresh hop-forward beer into Europe.

Leaning into our love for traditional Czech lager and hop forward IPAs, we decided on a fresh West Coast Pilsner. We were lucky enough to use some fresh hops from the Statek Vodňanský hop farm in Czechia. The farm has a rich family history, from being confiscated at the beginning of World War 2 and lost again under Soviet occupation. The Vodňanský family emigrated to Vienna until the Velvet Revolution, where they were able to reclaim the farm, which was now left in ruins. Decades of regeneration and the farm passing down through the family, the farm is fully focused on operating efficient, responsible agriculture that is friendly to nature, animals, and people.

The beer is a classic pilsner malt base, keeping the liquid bright and crisp, loaded up with Czech hops Saaz T90, layering woody notes of bergamot on top of wild flowers, ripe melon and tangy fresh citrus from the Lorien we’ve whacked into the hop gun.
