ほのかな甘みとごくわずかな苦み、そしてオレンジとスパイスの余韻が心地よい、爽やかなウィートエール。アストリア周辺のノースコーストやコロンビア川下流域は、美しい夕日が見られることから「サンセット・エンパイア」と呼ばれるのがネーミングの由来で、夕日を楽しみながらゆったりと飲み続けたい一杯。

The North Coast and Lower Columbia area has been dubbed the “Sunset Empire.” If you’ve ever seen the sun dunk into the Pacific Ocean from the Columbia River on a summer day, you’ll know why. There’s nowhere on earth where a sunset can take up more space or time.

Sunset Empire is crisp and light enough to drink from the beginning of a North Coast Sunset to the end. If you consider that the sunset REALLY begins as soon as day breaks, that’s a lot of sunset hours to fill with beer. It’s a slightly sweet, barely bitter, refreshing wheat ale with a little lingering orange and spice.
